Diary of a Nudist (1961)

Newspaper editor Arthur Sherwood is on a hunting trip when he accidentally stumbles upon a nudist camp in the woods. He is very much shocked by this and decides to send reporter Stacy Taylor to the camp so she can write an expose on the camp and have it shut down. However, much to her surprise, Stacy finds that she enjoys the nudist lifestyle and writes some very positive articles on her experiences, which doesn’t sit well with Arthur. Arthur then decides to join the camp himself and write his own story.
This film is a nudie-cutie. In this day of hardcore, it is hard to imagine that this was the “hardcore” of its day. Beautiful cinematography, beautiful locales and sun-drenched bodies offer a sleepy, idyllic look at an alternate reality. It should be remembered that in those times the idea of the naked form and sin WERE synonymous, therefore, Davee Decker would have been regarded as a lowlife to many for being photographed in the nude. To my mind that makes her a bit of a hero! What makes it more interesting to me is the fact that she looked like the typical young housewife of that era, the lady next door that you would have borrowed a cup of sugar from. A fun little cult film, not to be taken too seriously, I’m really curious to find out if she is still alive and what made her do nudie movies when it was taboo at that time.

Man i absolutely love your site! but what will become of it now with all these site’s that you normally upload on stopping file-sharing? Because I still have so many more movies i need that i can’t find anywhere else!
